Paloma we are happy to have you as our July Cover! We love how you combine all of your passions: fashion, law, art, music and are effortlessly chic and cultured. Paloma is multilingual and is Spanish, French and Italian by blood. Paloma currently lives between New York and London. She is a role model and uses her talents to give back to others and volunteers both her time and resources to various philanthropies.
1.Paloma, congratulations on successfully completing Haute Couture Week in Paris! What designs stood out to you the most?
Thank you kindly! I really enjoyed seeing all the magnificent work and the attention to detail by all the houses. I most appreciated the designs by Pierpaolo Piccioli. He brought exactly what was needed to celebrate the 55th year of Balenciaga’s haute couture creations.
My favorite piece was the pink gown with gradient colored pink feathers.
2. What do you first notice in a design?
I first notice the quality of the fabric and then notice the details of the design. I love classic silhouettes with a modern take. I especially enjoy when a garment has a surprise silk lining that departs from the outside design.
3. How would you describe your style?
My style is sophisticated but not ornate. I do not like to wear clothing that is heavy, not well constructed, or made of materials that are uncomfortable. I also try to make fashion choices that are sustainable.
4. We noticed that you have recently began to attend more sporting events. Which sport do you most enjoy?
Yes! I have recently attended Wimbledon and events for FIFA. Although, my favorite sport to watch is basketball.
5. You have a fast paced jet setting lifestyle – is there any city that you wish to visit next?
I tend to follow the fashion circuit and am often in New York, Milan, and Paris. I would very much like to have a few days and explore either smaller European cities or a beach vacation in the West Indies.
6. What is one item you can’t travel without?
I never sleep on flights. It’s a skill wish I had. So I stay awake and I love my Bose noise canceling headphones!
7. What event do you want to attend next?
I would like to attend the Grand Prix in Vegas. I think it would be interesting to see the race in the context of glowing casinos.
8. Since you are Spanish by blood, are there any foods that are you favorite?
I love my arroz and a plate of Jamon Iberico and Manchego. I could eat that everyday for a week and still crave it.
9. We hear that you are recently single what is an ideal date for you?
I hope chivalry is not dead
I would like to go out and have a nice Italian meal , go dancing and listen to Spanish music, and end the evening with a French kiss.
